I Hope They Call Me On a Mission

So I have had a great few last days, so this is the week i will find out about Transfers and what not, I will receive a call on Sunday night and the Transfer meeting will be happening next week mostly like on the Tuesday. So this coming Friday, I'm involved in a night like a fireside thing called 'I Hope they Call me on a Mission'' It is being held in a different ward, but I'm the main speaker, this random guy came up to from this other ward, I hear your the English Elder that just joined not that long ago we had a chat and he was like you will be perfect to talk, can you do it then, I was like for sure, It goes on for a few hours, because after the talk 20 mins there will be a few workshops and all So i will have any one thinking of a mission in my class and doing some work shops with them :) So Guess what Amery, the dog catcher strikes again, I caught another dog on Friday night hahahaha!!!! I know I have to become a professional Dog catcher now, It's obviously a sign :P well what happened were we were cycling near some woods on a back road and this dog just runs out of nowhere, I jump off my bike chase after him, I manage to grab him and just sit with him for like half an hour, making some phone calls, but it's night and like 8:30 pm and all the places are closed luckily the owner drives by and pulls over, I return the dog and had a chat with the owner, then she said the kids have been crying and crying they will be soooo happy that the dog is back, I found out the dog was called Eazy, you see the dog had no collar or name tag or anything, but all I know is that is was a lot easier to catch then the last :) So this week was also cool as I got some Basketball shoes giving to me, I got some 'Air Jordans' just handed to me, from this less active member, he plays basketball for Queensland, and is going to play for Australia some day :) That was pretty awesome!!! Then I also got a Lava Lava, it is what Islander's wear, you can probably Google, it my companion gave it to me, it's fresh from Samoa and Orange haha!!! Then also last Friday was a National Holiday, a pretty big Holiday here in Australia called 'ANZAC' day :) I also got to go on a Dirt Bike on like Thursday and that was super cool, that was a lot of fun :)

The Pandas Have Bike Problems

So The last few days has been great as Always and it is already nearly the end of another Transfers, P-day is today, although we could not go to the temple, because it was closed. So week 6 is next week, So I will try and keep you updated with the Transfers to let you know what happens. The last week has really great We have been doing a lot of Finding and all, and we found some great people here yesterday, who we got a returned appointment with! We also have been teaching this guy called Tom and his Girlfriend who is from South Africa! It's funny because I always get that I'm from South Africa, the amount of times I get it!!! Well i used to work for South Africans back home anyways :)  We have been smashed with dinners lately and have been having like 2 a night hahah!!!  So It is funny as this guy we have been working with well he always knows us as 'The Pandas' because of the black and white, It really liked it when we were called the Pandas haha! With the guy and the Pandas he hated the church, he said I will never Join Hell will freeze over before I do, Next minute ends up joining hahaha! and when he used to see the missionaries, come he yell it the Pandas, run out the back door, get in his car and drive off, quite a change of heart :) he is the one we done the stop smoking with :)  So hahaha with the bikes, Bikes I'm sick of them hahaha!! it was so funny the other day I was smashing on the bicycles and then all of a sudden the pedal flies off the bike and goes across the road hahaa, have you ever tried to pedal a bike with one pedal, it's pretty difficult, I don't recommend it any time :P So my companion is doing great, he hates biking as he has had multiple crashes and he did not want to ride his bike, so i let him ride mine and he gets a flat tire it was so funny though, he was so sorry and I was just Bro it's totally fine hahah! so we have 5 bikes in the Garage, 3 of them are down 2 left standing and there are 4 of us :P )   It finny with the bikes and it's all part of the mission, but the Lord has his timing, so when the pedal came off, and we were trying to fix who but cycles around the corner with his kids, but this member, and he comes over to help us and he happens to have a tool kit on him, he said this was the first time he ever had it on him, and he just felt prompted to bring it, so he did and he fixed the pedal :) Then the next day the Pedal came off again, but this time my companion was riding the bike, but I was so far ahead off him, I turn around and could not see him any where, I just knew what had happened, so I cycle back for a while, and this random man yells 'Missionary where is your companion' I'm like I'm asking myself the same thing haha' I explained about the bike problem, then I go and find Elder Elisara and then that guy comes by with his truck puts the bikes in the  back of his truck and drives us to our appointment!!!! It's all about the Lord's timing the only people we happen to see on both different days are members : )So it was unfortunate for my companion on Monday as he was cycling, but he was not wearing his helmet, it was in his bag, for some reason he decided to wear his Asian hat, It is Like a Rice Picker hat, I'm not sure what they are called, it looked pretty interesting though, this Samoan wearing it, well the cops pull us over and as they cop is walking us to us, he is trying not laugh, well my companion ended up getting a $110 fine for not wearing his bicycle helmet, but don't worry I was wearing my helmet i always do, Safety first, even If I look ridiculous in it :P So I'm learning soooo much like It's crazy, just the amount of Spiritual Knowledge you gain on a mission is amazing!!! So I also felt like I was Dr.Phil this week, sometimes I can turn into a bit of a Dr.Phil, so we were talking and have been working with this Inactive woman and have been trying to help her with her problems, but it was really great and she felt so much better afterwards and it was so rewarding to hear her Thank us just with sincere gratitude, she expressed how she knows we are away from our family and our loved ones but that it means so much to her :)

Instrument in the Lord's Hand

So the other night, I had an awesome experience, so i saw some guy setting up a Telescope in his Garden, and went over and started to speaking to him, and started talking about the Telescope with him, asking him what he was doing, he said that there was an Eclipse happening in just a few hours, I asked him If we could come back to look at it using the telescope and he said that we were more then welcome! So we come back like we said we would a few hours later, and we look at it and it was awesome, It was really great, then I starting speaking to him about God and and he starts opening up to us, then as the conversation continues, he starts to Break down crying and he tells me the most deepest things ever, about his life, that he has never told anyone and just says that he knew we were meant to come by and find him, then as he is crying, I ask him would you like a Hug, everyone needs a Hug, so I go and give him a hug :) It was so great, he was so thankful, and then we all had pizza hahah, and then he wants us to come again and see him another day :) Ahhh It's been really great to be able to help and just to be an instrument in the Lord's hand!!! I just Love it!!!! and my personal studies the last few morning have been so rewarding :) I have been studying my General Conference notes for 20mins then, Then I read the Book of Mormon for 20mins and then I studied something from Preach My Gospel for the last 20mins and for example, I know I need to be more Humble, so I was studying Humility today, then I'm able to link them all together, because There will always be similar and  relevant things in each of the areas.
At the moment, I have no plans either, I was thinking maybe that maybe with Easter and all, they might be doing something different, but at the moment, I don't think that they are! So as for the rest of this week, I will be out there knocking on those doors, finding those people who are ready for us to teach and all, and it is still pretty hot here even in Mid-April, It was like 31 degrees out :) Which I Love :)

Many Humbling Experiences

So with the week, It has been really great, we are just rebuilding the area now 'so to speak' just trying to do a lot of finding, like getting people to teach and helping them progress, so the upcoming week, we will also be just finding as well, I found some one to teach by going up to them and challenging them to a game of Basketball, winning, then we were just talking left him with my number, got a phone call from him that he wants to learn more about the Church :) So will try and see him sometime! Also it was crazy, so last week, i had to bring my bike into to the shop to get it fixed up and it cost my whole Monthly allotment, like all of it, so now I'm broke :P It will be an interesting rest of the month, but the Lord provides, last night we had 2 dinners :) and I have been able to do some cool spiritual thoughts. So I Loved Conference!! I took so many notes!  I got like 20 pages hahah!!!!!
I truly am Loving it here!!!! I really am and I love the people, just Love the people I meet and It just makes me so happy, I Love finding people and coming up with different ways on how to, like even when we had the car, we would pull up at the light, I would roll down the window and just start talking to the person in the car next to me, then get a pamphlet and extended my arm out the window and give it to them :) So with Conference, it also mentioned about a Premature baby, weighing just over 2 pounds, and picture of it came up, this made me think of my circumstance, I don't know if you know but I was premature, but by 3 months, I was actually meant to be born in June!!! and I weighed Under 2 pounds and was on like life support for first year of my life and My mum came and visited me every single day!!! it was in like magazines and newspaper i Believe, maybe even on TV, you can ask my mum more about it, I'm not sure about if all the details are correct, but It was pretty Intense, but it Inspired me and It is such a Testimony builder to me, when I did not believe in a God and I remembered back to being told and got shown pictures of how bad a condition I was in, it just made me think I'm here for a reason :)
So With Conference, I'm writing up my notes on it later, as I was writing them so fast like, the page was on fire, It was so messy, that Now I'm writing it back up but neatly so as I go over more it is a good reminder and also I will be able to share more.
So Also a random thing happened this week, I was out finding and saw some Chinese man doing some Garden work, I try talking to him but he speaks only a little English, he picks some random plant thing of the Ground and just say's the word 'Eat' and like says it a few times, I try it and it was just the worst thing I have no idea what it was hahaha, it just tasted super bad haaha I'm sure watching my face would have been great, just telling him, Ahhh Thank you so much, It's so goood haha!
So Also I was able to do something really great, I got a phone call at about 9.30pm and I found out there was a girl on her mini mission, she had came up from the Gold Coast and that she was in Emergency in Hospital, and I had to go with the others in my flat and I was able to give her a Blessing :) It was such an amazing experience, I found she had to go back home because of what happened, she collapsed but that She recovered really well, and we were just sitting by her talking to her and reassuring her that She will be fine, It was such a touching and humbling moment.
Just before I go I want to share a quick story with you, that I Love and it is really touching and all, It gets me every time, and it made me think about us talking about the Resurrection the other week and all and I have probably told you before so there was this Severely Disabled man, and He had to be helped his whole life doing like everything, and he needed so much support, well one day he went to the Temple to do Baptisms for the Dead and he had to be helped and be lowered into the water etc, well after he was Baptized and went down into the water and came back up, he said 'My whole life I have been helped in everything that I do, and for the first time in my life I was able to help someone else do something' It was so touching as he said that he was weeping. It made me think that although he has a Disability and all that in the Resurrection he will receive a perfect and glorified Body, I thought of the scripture in Alma Chapter 40 verse 23 and then I thought about how this Gospel is for every single person no matter what and how we will all be resurrected, then I thought of the scripture in 2nd Nephi Chapter 26 and it is verse 33, that this is for everyone. I Love this gospel and I Love how much joy it brings us as individuals, about this story about the man and the resurrection it made me think of the talk at conference by D Todd Christoffersen  well I thought of his talk yesterday in Conference, about the resurrection and all. I will keep on trying to expand my scripture knowledge, I really hope that it does not fade away!

My week was amazing  it always great! and we have just been teaching quite a few different people, so this girl georgie and her partner Patrick they are both 18 and have a kid, i believe i mentioned it a while ago, well when we were teaching my new companion asked to Georgie how did you find out about the church like when did it come into your life and she looked and pointed to me and said 'This Guy' although with Georgie how family are members they have been inactive and never went to church and never mentioned it either, then we found then and have started to reactivate them, they all come to church now and Georgie still wants to get baptized, but just needs to get married first, but on her wedding day whenever that may be with Patrick, that will be so great because after she can get baptized and they can raise there little boy in the church :) So I found out some News I spoke to my Mission President and I WILL BE BACK IN 1 YEAR, I FLY BACK HOME THE 8TH OF APRIL NEXT YEAR!!!! <3
